It was basically the Torquay United team that had just missed out that took Bournemouth to what is now the Championship, whilst we slipped into oblivion (now known as League 2)! :(
Yeah, but he went to Argyle first, then from Argyle to Bournemouth while Micky Cave went to Argyle on loan from Bournemouth. I watched both play for Argyle at Home Park but can't quite recollect whether they played in the same team.

How that superb Torquay team was allowed to be "stolen" from under our hooters is to me still a mystery. If Hollywood was to get hold of the facts in would spawn a host of films - The Bourne(mouth)Identity; The Bourne(mouth)Supremacy; The Bourne(mouth)Ultimatum.

Back in the day before AFC Bournemouth, it was Bournemouth & Boscombe Athletic - similar to Brighton & Hove Albion (Bournemouth back then as now play in Boscombe, like Brighton back then played in Hove and Grimsby today still play in Cleethorpes. The real Wimbledon however are still south of the Thames. ;-)

Indeed. Their fundraising for Burton fans to get a coach to the cup game is superb.

What made me laugh was that their fans argued endlessly that it was definitely a pen... For much longer than it took for the player himself to admit that he dived. Quite bizarre. That said, decent club, Ballmouth.

More like club doing everything it can to help a well liked hard working employee to take the next step in his career, rather than helping our club or anything else to be honest. Still good to see, not many clubs would have done that.
