I didn't hear the later bit.

Obviously doesn't want a "difficult" challenge then.

Agree Chunks. I listen to talksport almost constantly and I'm under the impression there isn't a hope in hell he would ever come here.

During the morning show Warnock was asked about a few different clubs and whether he would manage them.Sheffield Wednesday was the one that kept coming up.

Later on in the show a message from a Torquay fan was read out, asking Neil if he would come to Torquay and get us out of trouble if the position became available.

Neil mentioned with fondness about his time here, 17 games in charge and we were saved from relegation, a proud mement in his career.

However he went on to say torquay would be a nice place to visit but the job isnt something he would be interested in.

So that was that, turned down flat then.

I doubt we could afford him and he is probably earning a fair whack between BT Sport and Talksport without a fraction of the stress being a manager brings.

Lives in cornwall as we all know.

He was asked by alan Brazil if he could be persuaded to come back into management.

He said he is enjoying the media work but could be persuaded to say take over a struggling team near the bottom until the end of the season as a challenge, as he enjoys being involved.

Well, Neil, we got one here and..... and iss a heck of a challenge,. Im sure he doesnt need the money so why not do it for "the challenge".
Far better Neil the War Norck [sic] than Knill the Dorck [sic]
( see spelling of thread title ) :) :) ;-) ;-)

Plus City will want a manager there who can build and move on gradually, not a brief manager. I can imagine if we appointed Warnock for half a season, they wouldn't sack Knill, but let Warnock take over everything until Knill resigned. We can dream...
