Someone mentioned Dean Mooney. I agree dreadful but I think there were worse than that. John Staples, a full back. Some of the French contingent were dreadful because once signed up didn't try, example Sissoko and some others I can't remember.
And then there was Jean Pierre simb, a Torquay legend. If your too young to know nothing about Jean, do yourself a favour and find out, a real character, great fun but totally useless. He scored at Plainmoor and the celebrations were unforgettable, running to the pop side. Any vids of this guys, would love to see that again.
In my view, if a player isn't good enough its not his fault, if he doesn't try then that's a different matter. I wasn't there for the Rochdale game but if any players really didn't try then that's it for me, goodbye.
Another point, looking back, there seemed to be more characters around, even though the football wasn't great for long periods like today. We seem to lack big personalities or players with character. Or is it just me deleting the years of durge
