Thanks Dutch me old mate, you have quenched my thirst for knowledge, have signed up and received an e-mail, now feeling all warm and tingly in side.

Cheers also Andy( Gloster), was a serious question, wasn't meant to make anyone feel ill, hoped someone who knew would answer it.

They also are planning a "Yellow Day" for Kingsteignton, glad to see them trying out some good ideas.
I also noticed that they are doing a Christmas Season ticket too. But on looking would I benefit. No! I bought the big 5 ticket. One of the matches is Newport which I have already. so I would lose the benefit of this match being reduced by buying a season ticket. I know I will miss one or two of the matches anyway so the season ticket is already not worth having for me. I suspect one or two others may well have missed the boat on this one.

forevertufc wrote:I know there are some many ways us fans can find out any information we want to know, however when your a service providing business as I believe TUFC is, that's not always the point, is it? Yes, I know all administration has a cost , and our football club being a very small business , has to strictly control and justify all it's costs.

However on the point of e-mails, I am a popside season ticket holder the club has my e-mail address, I was going to the Rochdale cup game regardless, so didn't bother to check the entry fee for the game, to my surprise and delight found out when I got to the game it was only £13 to go in, the point is I didn't know it was a reduced price game, how many others didn't know it was a reduced price game and maybe didn't go expecting to pay full price. I know it didn't effect me, also didn't know there was a special entry system for Bristow's bench season ticket holders either.

Being serious here, my computing skills as some know are very limited, how hard is it to create a generic e-mail and send out as a group e-mail to all contacts?

It may not be the difficulty. it can be cost. You can send out to hundreds or even thousands. But to get the right addresses you have to pay unless thousands have signed up to something so they already have the addresses.( Someone may well be able to tell us if it still costs to send thousands of emails via their email provider. )
I get bombarded almost every day with spam trying to get me to pay for the huge mail dump to get extra custom. And it ain't cheap!
It also takes quite a lot of time. That is possibly another problem our club has. How many staff have we got to do all the tasks in hand each day. Have we the capacity to do all the extra work necessary to carry out this extra work. It's a bit of the old chicken and egg situation. Yes if the work can be done and it's not too costly it may possibly work. But have we the resources. If it doesn't work then we have then made resources available to do it and can't pay them. what do you do.

Well that is true, I grant you. :'(

And you called me a jibbering old fool.. :na: :)

Nope nothing in my junk e-mail folder, other than some seriously ill African who needs a donation from a kind hearted soul daft enough to reply with bank details, oh and slut finder..

Had a season ticket for 7 years, had e-mails before, last one came about 2 years ago, guess I've missed off then, as I have the same e-mail address, as do BRFC, and it would appear I am not only one. It appears that Nick and Kernow aren't getting them either. Anyone else?

Glad you said that Matt - I was beginning to think I was the only one that got an email from the club!!
