I'm not worried taxilady because he simply won't score against Mansfield. (Plus you might let me off in exchange for a coffee at the next game I see you? :) )

If you look back, you'll see that I forecast that he will score against Mansfield. So we'll just have to wait & see now, won't we ? :-/ :S

A goal is a goal no matter who it is against so I congratulate Billy on netting today, it must have given him pride and no amount of criticism can take that away from him.

The tragedy is I wish I could say he will do the same for us next time he plays but it's not going to happen. I just hope he has found some renewed confidence from his goal and we will benefit from it but I've said that on a number of occasions after a particularly promising display and we are more likely to see him go missing for 5 games instead.

But of course like many of you say, it's not just about the goals with Billy is it?

Wow what a dumb post

Knill should have played Craig just for this specific moment so we could postpone this game!

Connor Thompson?

Matt.

The problem nations like Wales have is the lack of strength in depth, if players are deemed good enough they go in to the senior squad, their junior levels are really just made up of eligible players playing at the highest level. I think Bodin is there because he plays regular League football more than any latent talent, that and his Dad! ;-)

tomogull wrote: 1. Billy Bodin - none of us understand
2. Callum Thompson - not ready for league action quite yet but obviously seen as a capable under 21 'keeper
3. Anthony O'Connor - loan signing. We've only seen him once of course but looks a very mature player comfortable on the ball.

Also - they've been called up for Wales, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland Under 21s - not Spain, France or Brazil. Hope that gives you a bit of an explanation ....... !! :clown:
It's international U21 football. It's less about picking players in form to win the next game, more about picking the best young players you have and grooming them in to a team to one day make the step up to full internationals.

Wales U21 lost to San Marino, tells you what sort of level their players are at. Probably conference.

At our best at present? Isle of Man :engflag:
