I'm 60 and was right back in the team that had the fabulous Bryan Helley in goal. How he never made the league I never know. Mike Griffiths, the most capped Devon player ever, in midfield, Dave Harrison, Tony (Bowyers) Pook, Pete Leins, Roland Young and many others who became very good local players. I stayed the same as I was when 14 (could tackle and kick ball a long way) and never got above Chudleigh Athletic reserves, Chudleigh Knighton etc and then started squash at 21. It was an exceptionally good year.

You must be younger than me then, sam. They were crap when I used to play them ;-)

Haha, not quite Sam. I went to a grim northern comp in a yorkshire mining village. :'(

What is tweenaway anyway? It sounds like the Tweenies go on holiday DVD to me! :)

Thick and thin are not to be confused with thick and skin.

What does Rhino Neal conjure up ?

An American actor ?

A thick skin called Neal ?

A rhino called called thick skinned ?

A Leeds rugby league player/supporter called Rhino/Neal ?

Thick, thick, thin and skin.

Never argue with an idiot.

:engflag:
No idea if this is a further insult, an apology or something else entirely as I don't understand a word of it.

Guess you (and Matt :na: ) were right the first time. ;-)

But you're quite happy to call me thick?

Well, I guess the thick will always support their habit even when the funds are thin. Expect this from those who continually whine on about their loyalty : their imminent departure.

The next early bird expiry date is Friday 17th May.
http://www.torquayunited.com/news/artic ... 13609.aspx

The sacking of Ling and the release of dead wood from dodge (hard training with enthusiasm) will be the signal for a few more to renew/purchase their season tickets. Some will risk the gamble and see if any further extensions are made to the expiry date. Some might wait until signings are secured. Some might even wait until all pre-season games are concluded to see how the team shapes up. By that time the early bird offers will be well past their sell by date.

Watching/supporting TUFC involves more than the couple of hours a week/fortnight. So does attention to more important priorities. I won't knock anyone who doesn't get to support their team when there are more urgent matters.

TUFC fits into a life, not the life exists to fit TUFC. What time as a paying customer I have for TUFC next season depends on sorting priorities in the order of most need.

Purchase of a season ticket depends on more than being thick and loyal. At this precise moment in time, I don't know how many games (if any) I'll watch next season. It might be all of them and as a season ticket holder.
