I would imagine they just copied the press release that was sent out.

...were the same.

I know the Herald started by quoting the "A spokesman" and then Thea but after that made it look like they had written the article. Very lazy journalism if you ask me (I assume the official site wrote their's first?)

Or are they written by the same person?
