Gillingham Champions 1st - Just getting over 100 pts
Port Vale 2nd
Cheltenham 3rd

Relegated Aldershot & Barnet

Torquay 6th from bottom - hopefully getting 53pts. :ping:

Here's hoping!!
Should have had a few quid on my bottom of table predictions . Barnet and Aldershot relegated and Torquay finishing 6th from bottom on 53 points.
Predictions made on 17th March.

I still make it 52 points will be needed but will come down to goal difference and even if win at Morecambe we may need an extra point depending on who else has 52.

I've tried my best, but I can't seem to get us into the playoffs now.

I guess I will have to admit defeat and say that this won't be our year for promotion.

thats why its bo**ocks.

i mean, who would have thought york would have beaten the cobblers?

we have to concentrate on our own games/results and nothing else.

Just done this. Much dependent on tonight's Barnet match, but I've got us staying up in 19th place on 51 points, with Wimbledon and Aldershot going down. TBH, there's probably a fair amount of wishful thinking at play when it comes to these predictions.

Just done this again and still have 52 points as the requirement to stay up - and then on goal difference- where we gain.

just looked at top half, and i have exeter finishing 8th!

my effort - based largely that relegation threatened sides will do pretty well in remaining games.
and Predict us to beat barnet 2-1 then draw both morecambe and bristol games 1-1
leaving us to stay up on goal diff

18 Dagenham 55
19 Plymouth 55
20 Wimbledon 54
21 Aldershot 52
22 Torquay 51pts
23 Barnet 51pts
24 York 50 pts

still got us to stay up somehow, relying on us winning next week.

ferrarilover wrote:I did it the old fashined way with pencil and paper and had Wombles and york to go down with us a couple of points ahead of them. Not sure where people think these clubs are getting their points from. Alright, Plymouth have picked up a bit of late, but the games some of our rivals have remaining are just about as hard as it gets. On Saturday, Aldershot play Wycombe away, which is the easiest of the fixtures. Wombles are at home to the side with the best away record in the FL. Plymouth are away to the side with the joint best home record in the FL. York are away to the other side in that conjoinment. Exeter are going for the Playoffs so need the points desperately. Burton and Northampton are both going for the autos so need the points just as much.

We should be getting 50 points this year, 3 on Saturday and 1 from either Morecambe away or Rovers at home (probably the former), that'll be enough. The teams around us are where they are for a reason. None of them has lost their manager or had their talismanic loanee recalled, so they , if anything, are even worse than we are in pure footballing terms. Yes, it's a funny old game, but at some stage, class and ability have to take hold and I'm rather thinking that that stage will be Saturday.

Matt.
Another deliberate error perhaps?
