GET IN. So happy with that! Great performance from Lingy and the boys. Well done to the Yellow Army for going in great numbers.

I'd say 'eat that Steve Evans', but he probably would.

Can't wait for Evan's humble post-match interview, where he compliments Torquay for a well-deserved victory and admits that we were the better team on the day.

Just spoken to the rents who were at the game and they were chuffed to pieces!! Have said that all the yellows played well, 100% commitment and effort from all involved, fans were in great voice too!!!

Am delighted with what lingy and the boys have achieved so far, proud to be a yellow!!!!!

Damn it, I knew I shouldn't have said I'd go Rotherham if we won!

What a performance! It wasn't sparkling or particularly eye catching, but it was strong, solid, professional. Lots of players delivered a good solid shift and it paid off. We were never stretched at the back, Crawley created little and we were well worth our 3 points.

Firstly, what a shambles that club is. Can you pay at the turnstiles? Nope - you have to go and queue for a ticket. Having lost 15mins of my life doing that, I enter the ground to find we have only been allocated one tiny corner, which is already filling up. Many pleas were made to the stewards to allow us to stand on the unused bit of terracing, but they wouldn't budge. Only once the game had started and the enclosure was dangerously packed did they allow everyone to spread out. They shouldn't judge all away followings on their own travelling support........

Due to this movement, I nearly missed the first chance of the game. Straight from kick off a long ball was flicked on by Akinde to Clark, who took a touch and shot but was denied by the legs of bobby. At that point it looked like we might be in for a tough day.

But we were soon able to settle and create a couple of our own chances, Howe blazing over was one I could remember. Crawley were finding quite a bit of space in midfield, but they couldn't get anything in behind us. Nothing was really sticking for Howe up front which wasn't helping us to relieve any pressure, but Ellis and Macdonald were pretty dominant in the air.

The pitch was in a dreadful state, huge chunks were being ripped out of it with every movement. In chasing a long ball, Danny stumbled and fell and immediately waved his arms, clearly in pain. True to form, Crawley wouldn't put the ball out and it was down to the ref to stop the game. Danny was stretchered off with his ankle in a splint, and Jarvis was on for his debut.

Our best chance of the half came when O'Kane, Jarvis and Mansell linked up to set O'kane free on the right - his low shot beat the keeper but was hacked off the line. There was precious little else to talk about in the first half - some dreadful refereeing, a few crosses which Bobby handled without fuss but very few chances.

Crawley made two changes at half time but nothing much changed, no real eye-catching efforts at goal and no real threats. A couple of times we looked to get Rene away, but his touch was poor and both times he ended up taking himself away from goal and the chance was lost. Although he did connect with one dipping ball beautifully, and volleyed just wide of the far post from 25yds.

With about 20 to go, the Crawley centre half McFadzean went off injured, and they had to reshuffle with a makeshift centre half. We sensed a chance and pushed a little more. But we so nearly conceded when a long range effort was deflected and scrambled somehow off the line. Throughout the second half Crawley pumped some long balls forward, but the back line were magnificent in keeping them at bay.

As the match ticked into its latter stages, we snatched the decisive goal. Rene got away down the left, but his cross was poor. However it wasn't dealt with, and Jarvis was able to get a shot off which was blocked. The ball spun up, and Eunan was able to control his volley to steer the ball into the bottom corner. The crowd went wild and so did the players.

We saw the game out fairly comfortably. Bobby had one save low down to his left to make, and they loaded the ball into the box a couple of times but we were comfortable in dealing with it. And as such, we saw the game out for a crucial 3 points.

Almost all the players were outstanding today. Macdonald deserves particular plaudits - league debut, 19 years old yet played like a veteran. He and Ellis were as solid as we have been all season, great job. Probably the only negative performance was Rene - poor touch, poor decisions and a bit of a lack of effort. He looked very short on confidence and needs a goal. But still, he did help make the goal so it wasn't all bad. Jarvis looked fairly average, won a bit in the air but went missing for long periods. I don't think wide right is his favoured position though.

Such a great feeling to get one over Evans in his own back yard! Sets us up nicely for the run in.

Well, what a great time this is to be a Torquay fan. A well deserved win built on the foundations from the back. Apart from the opening few seconds, Bobby wasnt really tested an awful much. Evans was the usual t*t that he has always been and Ling wasn't taking any abuse from him either, I swear he was giving it right back to him.

461 is a brilliant effort and why they only gave us a small corner of the stand was a joke, as was having to queue up to get our tickets, what was wrong with paying on the gate.

Brilliant support by the yellow army once again. Silenced the Crawley fans.

As for the pitch, worst in the league.

GET IN UNITED!!!!
Na, na na, NA NA NA NA, NA NA NA NA, TORQUAY!
