Firstly I'd like to pay tribute to the groundsman and all those who gave their time free to help get the pitch ready, in our current position the club can't afford any postponements, whilst the pitch was very heavy and glue pot like, it's remarkable considering the amount of constant rain , the groundsman is producing a pitch as good as he is.
As for the ,match the first half wasn't great for a TUFC point of view, Dartford's lively no 11 and powerful no 23 were causing all sorts of problems, while we looked a team really short on confidence, and perhaps over anxious in our play.
Second half I don't think the the early penalty whilst important was the turning point of this game, think it was the fact the team added a second goal within a minute , you could see the world was being lifted off our players, the joy and relief evident, with Dartford rattled TUFC pumped the third soon followed and there in it looked like there's was only 1 winner, Dartford rallied got a goal back, however with WJD and DOA coming on for the tired (out on their feet) Jarvis and McGavin TUFC soon got control back, even though it spoiled maximum prediction league points for me, was delighted for DOA , who looked decent when he came on.
We can over analyse Dartford's goal, however it would be harsh in my opinion considering I thought both, Booth and Tomlinson played well through out, McGavin had a good game until he tired, still has a habit of holding onto the ball when an obvious pass is on though. Finally I'd say the who whole team deserve a mention, they've been through a lot recently, and I can't think of one of them who let the side down Saturday.
