Their website says Booth has not played recently due to transfer interest from another club.

Maybe he's been talking to Pete Johnson, while Johnson has been sat on the bench at recent matches? Would a least be a proper centre half, but would he want to come here with the club in the state it's in at the moment?

I meant no offence to shelf stackers. It is hard work and without them we would have no supermarkets. My point being, they are minimum wage jobs with limited opportunities for advancement. There are many more similar jobs at which an employee would jump at the chance to be a professional footballer even for a short while.
The opposite is also true, someone in a skilled job with good prospects would have to think very hard about giving it up for what is a short career which could easily be over as quickly as one bad tackle.
There are a lot of people in mundane jobs and without them the country would collapse.

Rob Dray, the Taunton manager, said today that Austen Booth is going to play full-time football but he did not say where.

You will have to wait for Saturday to see if he trots out at Plainmoor.....or has he gone to Yeovil?

I am not sure johnson understands business, you announce any new arrrivals in advance of a home game, it may bring some more through the gates in anicipation.

Taunton's match tomorrow with Maidstone United has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch following a pitch inspection.

No more income for them this weekend.

Surely it would make sense to move our game v Truro to Plainmoor.

Closer for both sets of fans, giving probably a bigger crowd and a better financial return for Truro.
Could do the same for Taunton away.

Both clubs are starting to build a backlog of games.

But at the end of the day, no one cares about the fans.

It's the biggest farce of a groundshare possible. 4 out 4 games postponed, so far with 20 games to play in 9 weeks now. It's always been a horrific mud heap of a pitch, absolutely no way they'll they'll get 20 games in on it between now and April.

Hopefully they'll switch our ( postponed ) game to Huish, and common sense says switch your game to Plainmoor.

Would imagine Truro asked to share Plainmoor again but we told them where to go, so they are saying that we must go to Taunton.
Either be still waterlogged in early April or hard, and bumpy, but meaningless end of season game anyway.

Tonight's game Taunton v Chippenham postponed... they (Taunton and Truro) really are going to have to find other grounds to play on as that pitch can't even host one game let alone the multitude of games coming up.

The World Bog Snorkelling Championships are being held there next week. Actually our players might be better at that?
