That's a shame. Presumably after more money . Perhaps that is the reason he has not featured lately , find it hard to believe he is still getting over that knee knock !

Slightly strange to refuse a contract before it is clear which league Torquay will be in next season perhaps?

Even if we go up, Swindon and Exeter are bigger clubs, offering better prospects of promotion, and no doubt more coin than Torquay. I think it's to be expected that our best younger players will be prised away, whether we go up or not.

However, I would be disappointed if he's avoiding playing to ensure he's fit for his next club when he can still contribute on Sunday. That's just not professional.

It’s a short career and he needs to maximise his earnings. He’s a grand lad and I wish him all the best.

Looks like Swindon are on the recruitment campaign
https://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/spo ... whitfield/

Swindon have just snapped up Exeter City defender Pierce Sweeney
https://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/spo ... year-deal/

However a lot of Boardroom shenanigans going on behind the scenes at Swindon what do they say " the grass is always greener..."

Can't think for a minute he's avoided playing. Looks like a knee ligament, didn't look particularly fit in the game he came back. Decent enough player but not particularly quick for a wide man and plays with head down.

Good luck to him if he goes elsewhere but I'm not sure Exeter are that big a club.

Exeter not so big, but they will be aiming for playoffs or better.

Torquay, should they go up, will be aiming to consolidate and pleased with mid table I reckon.

Can we get Sunday out of the way before we start the speculative nonsense, please?

Can't be that serious an injury if he's looking for a League Two club , Exeter have a pre season friendly in less than 3 weeks . More likely Johnson is not picking him if he's rejected our offer.
