Hereford fans seem to think they will be in the National League North next season based on this spreadsheet:

Until the season is done and dusted ~ both above and below Hereford's current station ~ no-one will know for sure. But who accompanies them up from the Southern will be critical. If it is Kings Lyn then surely they will be place in national North but if it is Weymouth or Slough for instance then obviously not....Kettering? Hmmn. So we all have to wait and see.....but from a selfish point of view, not having Hereford as divisional rivals won't be a bad thing for Torquay United will it.

Nearby Gloucester were located in National North at one time and when they were returned to 'the south' it upset all their squad building and cost them a manager. It is always easier traversing the motorway system up and down the country rather than across it as Hereford would have to do in a southern division.

Even though Gloucester is south of Hereford geographically; Gloucester City play at Evesham which is north of Hereford, so nothing is cut and dried until it happens.

I'm with Merse on this one. As great an away day Hereford is, with some fantastic pubs, it would be much better for Torquay if they are in the northern division.

Sorry to interrupt. But that assertion is totally incorrect.
The reason Tim Harris left was down to a spat with the board. Tim was quite happy to play in the National league south. he wasn't too happy with the transfer but he understood it and said we will do what we have to do and was getting on with it. but he has ambitions and he felt the board were not being straight with him or the fans. it's also the reason One ex-manager we know very well, ignored putting in for the job when Tim left. he phoned Tim and asked him for his thoughts and what Tim said put him right of going up there. The fans were not happy either and the position the club was in and how things were painted made it look like another Plainmoor situation which is not true in their case
It seems to have stemmed from lack of movement on the stadium in Hempstead. which is moving rather too slowly for some. It was meant to be finished for this season but at the moment. doesn't look as if it will be even started for next season. so Eamon McGurk is going to have to dig deep in his pockets to fund their season. they haven't done so badly this time around.
I'm of the opinion that National north is a tougher league and so better prepared for the next step up. and onward progression to full EFL status. but I'm willing to be proved wrong.

Hereford being in Conf south is the least of our worries.
