If hall starts that leaves Mcgavin surplus to requirements but judgging by his lack of interest in tacking anyone from his midfield position I would want him no where near our box defending. If martin was fit I would suggest moving Moxey to centre back with his experience of reading the game and it would save on his legs as judging by the games since his latest injury he no longer has a sprint in him .That would leave a first year pro who has the height and build of a winger as our only so called recognised defender.
Alternatively and from the playbook of Johnsons radical thinking Jarvis would become centre half, he seems to spend as much time defending our box at set pieces than he does up front.
Three match ban? I thought that DOGSO offences only carried a one match ban.

It’s one match. Move Deano into the middle.

Its a terrible throw in from Donellan, throws the ball straight into the ground and puts Marshall in big trouble. Granted its not great defending by Marshall but its kamikaze fromn Donellan.
All hes got to do is throw the ball down the touchline.

If the budget has been used up for this season, what could a new manager do if there is no money to spend on new players. He would just be recycling the current squad, to very limited effect.

i repeat what do you expect, we are not winning this league, the squad is bare with no attacking options from the bench what so ever, you cant change a game with defenders, we are reliant on moxey (37) and hall (36) who are both injury prone and legs are gone.

the loan market is massive and we have none, what his brother does is beyond me, he isn't even reaching out to exter or plymouth or even fleetwood where his own son manages. we got turned over by Southampton b in pre season and we went for the player who didn't contribute, there were 2 or 3 in that team that would do well for us. they say they have good relationships with these teams but there is nothing coming from it. we desperately need a CB, LB, CM AND a winger/forward.

it was only a few weeks ago johnson said he would bring in up to 4 loans..... ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm still waiting and the wait will continue its all talk

All very concerning and wonder what the point was in the friendlies that were arranged. I thought maybe a Reading youngster or Southampton kid would have arrived by now.
We are bare bones and the Golden Oldies are injury prone as has been proven in the past.
The squad needs strengthening big time, starting with a centre back and a strong character in midfield who can hold it together. The gaps in midfield are alarming.

While we all hope for some decent acquisitions of the loan variety but we have to remember where and who we are. Most of the championship teams we supposedly have connections with have proven long term strategies for those in their academies, 2/3/5 year plans, not like our track record, sign a pro contract, sit on the bench for a few months, get rid never to be heard of again. Most of these clubs would fail to see the benefit of loaning out their better prospects when they easily place them at a higher level, additionally there are still costs to such loans, some require their salaries to be covered, some expect accommodation and certainly they need to be insured, all the things we possibly cannot afford.

ok that's fine so please tell me what GJ brothers role is then.

his interview at the start of the season stated that they had loans lined up as and when needed, they had identified players.

its so boring and predictable. we will not progress under this regime, with this squad as it is now

Have to say it is frustrating when you see the likes of WSM can get loans from Southampton.

Ok we have no idea about the quality of such loans but compared to our current loan strategy it’s good.

WSM only have one loanee from Southampton, the lad we hardly used whilst he was here. That might give a clue to his quality.
