Not at the races today by the look of it - Torquay's recent record in the FA Cup is just abysmal. We can concentrate on the league now!

Galling that with 36k at stake the home side get a massive advantage by playing on a skating rink. Dave Thomas said that Torquay only conceded one free kick in the game. Lets face it its basically artificial football.

If the match had been played on grass we would have probably have won 5-0. Bit strong to blame the team playing on a difficult surface.

Football should be played on grass. End of.
Maidstone are our bogey team and today proved it beyond any doubt.
How bad is Liams injury?

Sounds as if Maidstone kept to their plan and shut us out. As much as Vincent and Buse have played well, Little and Lemonheigh-Evans offer that something extra and Hall with his experience would have been a big help today.

Typical FA Cup result. You have got to want it more than the lower league team. Sounds like we didn't win a second ball in the whole game.

Looked very bad. So much so that he struggled to walk. Managed to hobble off the pitch with assistance, but had to be stretchered away. To top it off, he was dropped by the 4 plonkers carrying him as well

Think our horrendous injury situation finally caught up with us today. You cannot lose players with the ability of Lemonheigh-Evans, Hall, Little, Edwards, Andrews and now Davis and not expect to see this kind of result - we are left with such a young and inexperienced team and although they have bags of ability, it’s on days like this that we are vulnerable and we just seemed to lose our way today. Unfortunately I’m not sure that too many of the injured players are going to be available anytime soon.

Our lack of options coming off the bench was also obvious today and the fact that Duku didn’t get any minutes given how the game planned out speaks volumes of where he currently is in the Manager’s plans!!!

Ah well, just have to console ourselves with the possibility that we could still go top of the League next week if other results go our way. :scarf:
