Staying Up - Relegation Battle

standupsitdown in your post yesterday you missed one of Tauntons games namely Slough at Home on 11th April. Taunton look very vulnerable. I think they have lost 5 on the spin, have a very dodgy pitch, and could well lose the next 4 which include Farnborough away who are in very good form. Thanks - ...

Full time V Part Time

Obviously we want to avoid part time if we can but better that than no club or an unstable club owned by someone with the wrong motivation.

Torquay United v Weston Super Mare Mon 1st

If any 3-3 draw could be considered dire, this was dire and us only playing with ten on the park because Mcgavin should not ever wear the shirt, how he lasted until the 60 minute is beyond me.I think he was only subbed because his mum was shouting at downes that she did not want her son playing with...

Havant 12 points from last 10 games Torquay 10 points from last 10 games Taunton 7 points from last 10 games Dover 5 points from last 10 games. Dartford 3 points from last 10 games. Staying Up - Relegation Battle

With other teams losing twice and games running out our one point this weekend has actually strengthened our position. Torquay 41 45 -8 Hemel 42 45 -17 Eastbourne41 41 -26 Dartford` 42 40 -18 Taunton 38 40 -21 Two from the above to go down. Hard to judge as there are several games between these team...

Staying Up - Relegation Battle

Looking at the fixtures today for our relegation rivals, most would be expected to drop points (but of course may not) but with Dartford playing Eastbourne one or both of them will pick up points. A draw would be ideal for us. Obviously our own result is far more important but anything less than a w...

Staying Up - Relegation Battle

Expected result today but with Hemel, Dartford, Eastbourne & Taunton losing we’ve marginally improved our position as they have one less game to catch us. We very probably have to finish above two of these. With so many games in hand and a win today Truro will probably be ok. Concern that there ...

Potential Buyers

brucie wrote: 28 Mar 2024, 12:36 Why is it excellent news exactly?
Save the club.
Ownership by fans with the motivation to keep the club going sustainably and not by individuals who have unrealistic aims or simply want the club for their own purposes - property.

Great we've got someone buying the club with assets of 60k Please try to be positive at this time. This is excellent news. 'The consortium members would be contributing a considerable sum to kickstart the project.' 'We envisage that this will happen through a Community Share Issue but will confirm ...

Truro already are.

Not sure what happens if it rains that week and any of the games are off.

Just got an email from Taunton to say our game moved from 17th to 16th April.
So yet another change of hotel booking. At least I booked fully flexible this time.

Staying Up - Relegation Battle

The only good sides I've seen are Yeovil (who outplayed us in the league) and Worthing who outplayed us twice. Both, particularly Worthing, have declined since they played us. We should have been top three, and suspect that if Johnson had gone sooner we'd have made the play offs (until the 10 point ...

Staying Up - Relegation Battle

Breaking it down -

Win one of Weston or Havant at home and one of Truro or Taunton away and we should be safe.

But really don't want to go into the last game needing a win or looking at results elsewhere.
