Chairman,s Financial Statement
I do find there are frustrating contradictions in the chairman's statement. He begins by saying we are "paying our way", but then suggests that fan ownership may mean a sustainable club would only survive at national league south level. I think we all agree that the squad Nicholson has ass...

Players fund
Are you talking about boots or Number 10s & the gulls nest? If it's the former then it's currently franchised, so it makes no difference what the price of the beer is to how much money we receive. I think it's unlikely you're talking about the other two seeing as I've been in there and "rid...

So what do we need......?
Far as I am aware Josh is back at Notts Forest and Shaun is still a free agent Rees was released by forest this summer. That is one of the reasons I was disappointed Richards resigned, I hoped we would sign Rees who is younger, just as hard working and technically superior to Courtney. I haven't se...

2016/17 fixtures
Personally bit disappointed that the closest games bar FGR and aldershot are all Tuesday's; eastleigh, Woking, Solihull, Sutton and Dagenham would all have been games I considered travelling to but no chance on a Tuesday.

Sean Mcginty signs
I liked LRT. He was raw when he was with us but he had all the attributes to be a good player and I thought he was improving. Thought Ling was a bit hasty to release him, especially as his replacement was Tom Cruise, who was one of the more pathetic professional players we've had. Has played both le...

So what do we need......?
Those rules changes mean little difference to us, we would still have to identify and loan a player before the end of August or in January. I suppose we could do something odd like loan 10 under 21 players in August but only have a few with the squad, but that seems a bit counter productive. I also ...

You've nailed the areas where we need, I half expect Grant Fisher to be the backup keeper again where he can be there for emergencies only and we get a loan in if we get an injury. Dan Butler, courtney richards and Shaun Harrad signing would just be fantastic it would give us a really good side pro...

Hargreavesism
Someone will have to point me in the direction of the evidence of Hargreaves being an intelligent man, as I've never seen any evidence of it. A man with a bit of the old 'gift of the gab' but nothing else, as proved by his stint here as manager. You only have to watch him on BT sport to know that to...

Next Years Squad
Amazingly brilliant news. One of the most important signings of the close season, as I believe you need a big striker in this division. That's three out of the "big four" resigned now, with the fourth being butler. If we can get him too then we can really look forward to next year. The oth...

Don't forget Jamie ward is in the Northern Ireland squad, and although they still have to cut 3 players to make the 23, the competition isn't in Wards position.
Could well have 2 ex Torquay players there, then!

Lambada FC...?
Not at all sound, in my opinion. Being in the EU makes it harder to employ people from outside the EU. The Government is able to make occasional exceptions when recruiting from inside the EU proves to be insufficient, such as it's done recently for nurses. But why must we be forced to favour EU nat...

Another good reason for leaving the EU.. :) Why on earth would leaving the EU make it easier to get a work permit for someone from the Caribbean? Anyway, it is a bit of a shame that we can't sign the odd gem, but in general the work permit rules for non-EU nationals is pretty sound in my opinion.

New Owners
Once the new owners have extracted their profit from any property deal, surely they will just dump Torquay United. There is no profit to be made from running the club, as Mike Bateson would testify If they've moved us to a new stadium with ancillary revenue streams, have sold all the houses they've...

What's going on? Well, I presume GI are waiting to ensure they will get the land that will make them the money, and move the football club. This isn't exactly a new revelation, is it? I mean we already knew this was their intention from the beginning? And as has been stated 100 times there is no rea...
