10 Years Ago Today
The date 08/05/04 is nostagically etched in my mind as the happiest I've had as a Torquay fan. Only in the context of the attractive football served up over that and the previous season can the 500+ mile journey of 2000+ Torquay fans on that day be justified. Without reliving all of the day's events...

FA proposing League Structure changes
I'd like to think those in charge of our clubs would fight to save the Football League and proud histories spanning over a century. Equally, tens of thousands of football fans will surely be able to muster enough of a protest to stop this plan coming into fruition. We can all see money is the princi...

Exeter V Torquay 21st April 2014
In the hypothetical and unlikely situation we're still in it after Mansfield, we definitely want Rovers to win, given we play Wycombe in our last match.tktufc91 wrote:not sure who I would want to win from Wycombe v Rovers but as long as one team loses and Northampton lose then who knows

Bodin
Flies like a butterfly, stings like a butterfly, too. It's all style and no substance from Bodin time and time again. I'm sure he'll be signed up by a League club (Exeter??), because his playing style's easy on the eye and he has technique befitting of a professional footballer, unlike the majority ...

YESSSS! Ashley Yeoman has scored two crucial goals in his limited appearances. No matter what deficiencies he has, his ability to finish means he should always be on the bench.

Joss Labadie - Accepts 10 game Ban
My reading of this is Labadie and/or his agent have decided it would be better to see out the ban with us and write off the 2013/14 season, rather than making himself a much less attractive option for potential employers in the summer if he failed with an appeal and still had part of his suspension ...

TorquayFans.com Q&A: Eunan O'Kane
A lot is made of Torquay's location and difficulty to attract players - as a young (Northern) Irishman, what were your first thoughts when you heard we were interested in signing you? What were your initial impressions of the town and the club? What was it like playing at Plainmoor during the redeve...

Sadly not for the first time during his second stint with us. If true, let's get Harding on.chardie wrote:Labadie having a bit of a mare according to the commentary.

Torquay United v Rochdale 11/03/14
We really ought to have a good chance at home to a Rochdale side without their top scorer Scott Hogan and, to my mind, best player Ian Henderson. This is the 2013/14 season, though, so I'm just praying we can actually muster a goal tonight.

Enoch Showunmi
After the false dawns of Damien Mozika and, to a certain extent, Jayden Stockley, I won't get carried away with another long-term target being signed. Much like Labadie last season, it's fair to say he split opinion among the Notts County fans, but it's telling some of them had him in their XI to pl...

Torquay United without Mansell
Whilst Showunmi was sometimes employed in midfield earlier in his career, is he really mobile enough to play that role? I have him down as a solid target man, who'll win headers and hold the ball up - basically a likeable Leo Fortune-West! After impressing on Tuesday night, it'd be surprising to see...
