Braintree v Torquay Sat 17th Feb 2024

WestLondonYellow wrote: 17 Feb 2024, 17:17 And this is relevant how exactly?
Shows the void in quality for supposed promotion contenders

Even if we scrape the playoffs, unless we build a real run of consistent form with associated confidence, I can’t see a promotion being at all likely.

Braintree v Torquay Sat 17th Feb 2024

TheYellowFromExeter wrote: 17 Feb 2024, 16:52 Johnson keeps on saying he will leave when he loses faith, how can any manager have any faith in this squad
Comparatively to the rest of the National League South, the squad isn’t technically that bad.

It’s the complete lack of game plan and substandard management that makes it atrocious

Braintree v Torquay Sat 17th Feb 2024

Quite frankly this is worse than when Owers was in charge. At least we had some decent quality players then. Either Johnson needs to resign or he has to be sent on his way. I don’t understand the stubborn attitude on either side. I’d understand if GJ was fired up and driving performances but his bod...

Johnson latest drivel

TommyGunn wrote: 11 Feb 2024, 09:51 How dare you? I bet Johnson and Downes got the defenders in for a special training session this morning. Right now they are at the training ground. Bedding in the new defenders and instilling confidence for tuesday. That is what a good manager does.
Is this sarcasm? I can’t tell.

Bottom of the form table

Whilst Torquay sit in 11th position in the National League South, we are BOTTOM of the form table. https://www.flashscore.co.uk/standings/pWjnhkSP/dGUPTtJe/#/dGUPTtJe/form/overall/5 We all know this is unacceptable and no one can understand why the club is not taking direct action. Lost for words.

The conviction, desire and hunger has to come from the management. GJ sounds like a broken man in each interview. He may have a free pass but he’s got to get a grip for his own health and sanity as well as the sake of the club and team. I’d suggest he needs outside counsel and support, the tricky th...

Maidstone v Torquay United TUE 6th Feb

“Game management”.

Sounded like the players put in more of a shift today, but nonetheless we’ve now lost to 2 playoff contenders and shown we can’t compete.

What will it take for a change?

Torquay United v St. Albans - 03rd February 2024.

With people questioning who would come here, let’s not forget that we are one of the few full time, professional clubs in the division. We’re effectively a sleeping giant at this level who should at least be in the national league, if not league 2. Let’s not allow how far we have fallen to cloud the...

Torquay United v St. Albans - 03rd February 2024.

So name me one manager that is going to come here full time??? A sacked ex football league manager??? Wouldn't come anywhere near this level. A upcoming manager going to give up his job and life to go full time. Ok then. Give me 3 names by full time?? Let's see how deluded you are. We need a change...

Halstead / Lovett

Out of curiosity does anyone have any data that compares the win ratio and goals conceded when Halstead is in goal vs Lovett?
