Gary Owers Steps Down
First of all i have to say i'm hugely shocked at this news. Primarily as i held the belief that Owers was somehow 'in on it' with Mr Osborne and therefore both parties were suited by the ongoing failure at TUFC. With this in mind i never for one moment thought that Owers would be dispensed with so r...

The whole system though is a joke. There is much more awareness of mental health than ever before yet there just aren't the services available to pro actively help people. Either your GP wants to bang you on some tablets asap which generally will do more harm than good or they refer you to talk ther...

Hopefully i'm playing devils advocate here but i think (not 100% sure) that Dave is maybe commenting about those in general who are just deadbeats in society and who use alcohol and drugs as a means to live because they are lazy and ignorant and don't take responsibility for their own actions. Actio...

Fair do's Dave. I don't know much about the level of abuse you are seeing regularly. I was more talking from my own experiences of becoming alcohol dependant simply to dampen persistent elevated anxiety even at rest which is drinking due a mental health condition. However, I cannot begin to imagine ...

Whilst i slightly disagree with but fully respect Dave's views on alcohol addiction which is by the by, i can say that both Dave and Scott have always been bang on with me on here despite being aware that i'm a few sandwiches short of a picnic at times. I have mental health challenges and unlike som...

Lymington would be a great draw for Big Dave. Just around the corner.

Osborne must be a bit partial to the old St Austell ales. As for TUFC, he's certainly doing a proper job of it.

Absolutely Kingsgull and of course, none of us know really just what the hell is going on. Sometimes it's hard to believe that Osborne does too with his haphazard, lacklustre, non sensical approach to football club ownership.

I have to disagree with you Kingsgull. Osborne has got involved with TUFC for a reason yes but for what reason? I'm pretty confident he wouldn't have bothered getting involved at all if the club hadn't been offered to him for peanuts when it was desperate for cash. This leads me to believe that ther...

The key question that leaves us all scratching our heads and adding to the conspiracies is why doesn't CO sack Owers with immediate effect? I think most of us now can see that Owers has had more than enough time and support as manager and not only has he taken the club down but he's struggling for b...

Exactly, but this why I disagree that Owers is part of the problem. Osbourne is the whole problem. Assuming that your thesis is correct then if Osbourne ever got rid of Owers he would just replace him with somebody equally inept. Where i have disagreed with you in the past is in your contention tha...

Disagree! Owers in not part of the problem he is the whole problem concering football matters. Osborne cannot be blamed for our poor performances. Although he cares nothing about Torquay Utd per se, he nonetheless is funding it generously albeit for his own agenda. Look at the BBC video of Osborne ...
