Re: Paul Buckle’s Head
Clearly Buckle wants O'Kane in the team as do most of us, but in behind a striker isn't the best way to do it, especially at home. We were doing so well with 4-4-2, even in the games against Accrington and Macclesfield where from the start Zebs was up front and we created chances. We need to go back...

Re: Torquay vs Macclesfield Match Thread
The addition of a right back makes our squad look quite strong now. Charnock will be a little annoyed though.

Re: Ashley Barnes
He does seem like a bit of a nob. We were absolutely desperate for a striker on loan last season and I'm sure if Buckle had time to make a choice, with his emphasis on team spirit and togetherness, he wouldn't have gone near him.

Re: Torquay vs Macclesfield Match Thread
If we really do harbour hopes of the playoffs this year, these games are the ones we must win. It's a cliché but it is oh so true. We win this game and draws against stubborn opponents like Stevenage and Accrington look like points gained. Draw or lose and we start to look like a team out of ...

Re: Stevenage vs Torquay - 18th September
We seemed to have lost the early season momentum. This 4-4-1-1 is not working. At least execretia 1 nil down Quite a statement seeing as though it's the first time we've played it this season with a proper attacking midfielder behind the striker. Lets see the end result before we come to any conclu...

Re: Stevenage vs Torquay - 18th September
I'd like to see Billy Kee and Eunan O'Kane start this weekend. The team needs a breath of fresh air after the last two games. Martin Gritton, although the formation didn't suit him, struggled on Saturday and is a good option from the bench away from home. There are a couple of issues at the minute r...

Re: Accrington game
We will probably see Martin Gritton come in today, maybe for Carlisle with Zebs back on the right, Stevens on the left and Benyon up front. I'm glad we've got a home game because Stevens and Benyon haven't performed too well the last two away games, which isn't really their fault I think as the 4-2-...

Re: Southend - Torquay
But there is a further consideration. The importance, in terms of morale, of maintaining that winning run at Bournemouth was probably a factor in his thinking. Perhaps he didn't envisage the tiredness, and was most concerned about keeping the winning mentality. I'm sure that was Bucks' thinking but...

Re: current odds
We are a massive lay bet to win the league. We have started well but favourites to win the league, no thanks - massively underpriced. I put us in a double to get promoted with Southampton winning League 1 when the season started but I think champions is pushing things too far and the money that has ...

The only thing I can think of is that he tipped us for relegation before the season started.

Re: Southend - Torquay
On the balance of play they deserved to win, but even then it was two great strikes that did for us, we still haven't conceded from a clear cut chance like a tap-in or a cross. Considering we couldn't keep possession or put any pressure on Southend until Gritton was on, we did well again defensively...
