Re: Buckle is not the Messiah - He's a Very Naughty Boy!
Glad you see the funny side. The ironic things is that the first words of your reply when you repeated 'if it's not a personal question...' is exactly what is said in the film when the person asked the question (Brian's mum) says 'If it's not a personal question!????....How much more personal can y...

Hargreaves, Wes, 1998 parallels and season-tickets
In 1998 after Kevin Hodges built a team on the cheap during Bateson's self-imposed exile with Puppet Benney as chairman, Wes Saunders led the cheerleading of the Torquay fans alongside Helen Chamberlain prior to kick-off at Wembley. It wasn't the most dignified way for a former promotion-winning cap...

Re: Zebroski
Distressing but predictable speculation and one can feel inclined to believe it after the rumours that ciruclated about Buckle and were indeed accurate. I would be more sorry to see our team break up than I was to see Buckle go. Zebroski for me, was our best player last season. He works unbelievably...

Re: Buckle is not the Messiah - He's a Very Naughty Boy!
If it's not a personal question,,,,,are you actually a complete t0sser that that comment makes you come across as? What is funnier than any of the python stuff is that Richinns thought this was a serious question or some sort of abuse. He must have really been puzzled at the (to his perception) utt...

Re: The boards view on the next manager
I am really quite frsutrated that the board are only looking to discuss the shortlist a week today. We are already 2 and a half weeks behind the rest of the division in terms of player recruitment etc. They have known Buckle was going. Everyone knew. To simply sit there and decide to do something ab...

Re: New boss poll
There is a part of me that would love to see Rioch return. When he signed for us in the autumn of 1981 it was like having Roy Race sign...a former World Cup captain, so when he returned from USA to manage us I was so pleased and equally devastated when he resigned in 1984. I was 15 then. I'm nearly ...

Re: Buckle
so footballs worst kept secret is out and buckle has gone, rumours i gathered from various sources were that the deal was signed in the week leading up to the shrewsburys 1st leg, also hargreaves as new manager was sorted before the playoff final which is good on the club for not hanging around. sp...

Craig Stanley
He posted on twitter yesterday that he was sorting out his footballing future. That was the day PB was leaving for BRFC. Would not be surprised to see CS playing for BRFC next season.

Re: Buckle
It says on Bristol Rovers site that Buckle 'has already identified a list of players' so when he was supposed to be preparing our squad for the play-offs he was busy compiling a wish list of players for his new club. We were paying his wages to do work for Bristol Rovers. The whole saga is sickening...

Re: Buckle
The bit about wanting applications is worrying me. They have known for 3 weeks he is going. Surely they could have the new manager virtually appointed. I hope they have not been sat on their arses the whole time Buckle has been going. Everyone knew he was going - let's hope a plan was in place.

Re: The real seedy, scummy side of football....
If anybody needed any further evidence of what a wretched game it has become......then the last couple of weeks provides it in abundance. Bristol Rovers approach our manager just as we qualify for the play offs, they even have the nerve to interview him at their ground, obviously it doesn't take ei...
