MOTM - Chesterfield
I was a telly watcher but for me: Little - goal / goal corner taker/ fight / skill Lewis - the only CB Money - wise old sage reads the game well Winter - Great blocks, tackles, Holman - brains Both Chesterfield goals were the crystallisation of the Miller / Chiori Johnson contest which our man hopel...

Chesterfield v Torquay United 25/09/21
Finishing eleven are a better prospect than the starting. The footballing brains out there probably outweigh their physicality. Problem is I don’t think we can afford to have more than two prospects (Rogers, Lolos Johnson, O’Connell) in the starting line up. Tricky problem but we ain’t PSG. Brillian...

Not bad first half considering the opposition. Defence playing well if very last minute. Midfield apart from Armani looks underpowered and crikey we have no pace. Rogers looks first for the hook for me.

Maidenhead United v Torquay United Sat 4 Sept KO 3pm
Basically their two strikers were bigger than our two centre backs sort of summed up the second half.

Looks like you’re not. Can’t swerve this one. Bit too local for me. Hoping for a tighter performance today and Armani to come up with the goods. He is so capable but as mentioned elsewhere low on confidence, not helped by the snipers. Come on Armani.

Notts County v Torquay United Sat 28 August KO 3pm
Well that was a day out. Just got out of my ice bath as I and probably half the fans were cramping up in that second half, such was the magnificent vocal support given for the cause. A good half of it was directed at Cameron, and to a lesser extent Nemane. Such Schadenfreude was inevitable and the f...

On the 10:06 from Kings Cross to see my first match since Sutton away in March 2020! Really looking forward to the day. Coming home with any points or money will be a great result. Can’t blame Cameron for moving nearer home and doubling his money. Still hoping for the chance at some Geordie baiting ...

Tickets for games
On an aside; I am going to the Notts game and thought I would rock up on the day but then decided on Thursday to pre-buy my two tickets. It said there were only four remaining in the one block available! Can't believe we've sold out the away allocation. Don't want to start a mild panic but might be ...

Connor- on fire, hit the post and architect of our two goals Lewis- monster at the back but his one mistake cost us a goal Randell - I thought he played well and was always involved Boden - Scored twice (thanks CLE) and ran his tripe out. Hall - He’s everywhere. Honourable mention for the Cov save (...

Stockport Away 16/05/2021 BT Sport
Great overall performance by both teams to be fair. The defence will be disappointed with the second. The ball does not have to be in the quadrant, just a slither of it has to be hanging over the nearest bit of the white line. Players that could have influenced it: Andrews slightly ducked the initia...

29 May 2021. Who will be Top of the National League?
Just had a stab at predictions for the end of the season.
Sutton win 83
Hartlepool 79
Stockport 78
Torquay 77
Was being a bit pessimistic with some draws for us but unless Sutton implode it’s theirs still to lose despite tonight’s defeat.
What do you reckon?
