Braintree v Torquay Sat 17th Feb 2024
I thought initially what you were getting at was that because Worthing won being a man down, we shouldn’t be too up in arms about losing to Braintree and having a man advantage. Bristol Gull nailed it "Shows the void in quality for supposed promotion contenders". I would add there appears...

As relevant as Ryan Hanson being not good enough to play for us but good enough to play for a club above us in this tin-pot league.

He is a very cunning, cold and astute operator, and this is like a game of chess, we are trying to catch up and cannot see the whole board, while he is 20 moves ahead of us. Characteristics that are typical of most successful entrepreneurs who have navigated their way to the top. I get the drift th...

Form guide (last 6) shows Braintree 4th and Torquay 22nd. I am going with underdogs with a record that could be misleading.

Taunton Town v Torquay United TUE 13th
I'm surprised clubs like Taunton don't go the 3G pitch route. I don't believe there is another 3G pitch other than Dorchester down our part of the world. Yet in the south east many clubs have them. It's a big advantage for the home team and good for the community. Start on the premise that Taunton ...

Are YOU happy with the way YOUR football club is being run?

It's alway difficult to get a true handle of cost but Maidstone United co-director Oliver Ash posted article a few years back about the challenges the Kent club faced when they were competing in the National League. "It will take longer than we thought to get into the EFL (English Football Leag...

Is it really that unfeasible that the club has lost millions since CO ownee us? ... It all soon adds up Club chairman (and effective owner) David Bosomworth, Halifax Town (2019) "it costs on average £150,000 a month to run National League FC Halifax" Town. 5 years later after Covid and In...

I understand the point - Uncle Clarke is a property developer. That's not a crime. For me the root cause goes back to Dave Phillips and co. When they took hold of the club the realisation dawned on them that running a football club was somewhat akin to pouring money down the drain. Success they thou...
