Gulls abroad
Hi Uberwozza-san, I have been to Torquay in Victoria many times as I live on the other side of the bay in a place called Bonbeach and yes its a nice place but no comparison to Torquay in Devon as their is no Wetherspoons in Torquay Victoria!

Gulls abroad
Hi Midtable, I do that already via live stream on Radio Devon but with the exception of last Saturday when the gulls won ,imagine sitting by your computer at 2.00am in the morning ( Melbourne time ) listening to the gulls on Radio Devon and after another depressing defeat go to bed and try and get t...

Gulls abroad
Ive been supporting Torquay since Oct 1959 when my dad took me to watch the gulls play Notts County ( lost 1-3) and I even had trials with the club back in 1963 but decided to run away to sea ,I have been living in Melbourne Australia since 1974 but get back every couple of years to watch the gulls ...

Torquay v Gateshead 28/01/17
The team I would select would be : Moore Verma - Racine - McGinty - Hodgkiss Fitzpatrick - Young ( Capt ) Richards - Sparkes Harrad - Williams Time for a change of Captain as I believe Young would do a good job and be more vocal as a Captain is supposed to be.

WILL THE REAL DAVE THOMAS PLEASE STAND UP
Well I don't know about you guys but what ever happened to the investigative Journalism that Dave Thomas and the Herald Express should report on about our club , I can only see what is printed as what is given by the club when they ( Herald Express and Dave Thomas in particular ) should be asking th...

Alan Smith
Agree with wivelgull, I remember Alan Smith along with all the other great players from that era (Stubbs, Northcott, John Smith, Adlington, Bettany, Bond, Rudge, Benson.) and not forgetting Ernie Pym from the early years when I started supporting Torquay United. Oh to have the quality of some those ...

Sutton United vTorquay United match thread
I'm not sure that we have to give it until the end of September to see where the club is heading as we have said that same statement for the past two seasons and we left it far too long last time before the club did anything to stop the slide down the league. OK we are only four games into the seaso...

NEW SIGNING: Giancarlo Gallifuoco
I wouldn't get too carried away with this signing as from what I have seen of him being a Melbourne Victory supporter that he tends to be a liability at the back and can get caught with the ball at times and hasn't got the speed to get back and defend after losing the ball that's why he only played ...

Gilbert the angry gull?
Gilbert the gull has made front page news in the Age national newspaper in Australia in the odd spot section ,so he is famous over here for his antics albiet for all the wrong reasons.

Torquay United v Grimsby Town – Saturday 18th October
Ricey has lost all confidence over the past couple of weeks and CH has stated that he will have to consider some tough decisions and they should start with the goalkeeper.

Alfreton Town v Torquay United – Saturday 11th October 2014
I stand corrected to my previous post , yes Harding is a central midfielder not a defender but I would of been ok with that if Hargreaves brought him on to play the central defender role as he has played alongside Pearce on many occassions and would of been better suited for the role. The idea to pl...

Alfreton Town v Torquay United – Saturday 11th October 2014
The fans were telling Hargreaves long before kick off that Richards ( just back from suspension ) wasnt the right choice for a central defender it beggers belief that he had Harding and Hutchings both defenders on the bench and failed to use either of them at halftime when he saw what was happening ...

I dont care what they call it as long at the club gets the revenue , but it will always be known as Plainmoor to me.
