Aldershot v Torquay 8/4/17
Sparkes had a training ground injury in midweek apparently. Chaney took his place on the wing.

The truth is out should Nicholson be sacked
Interesting comments from Nicho on the BBC football site this evening! Just find 'Torquay United' under 'All teams' and read on.........(not sure how to put links on to this forum - Jurassic computer skills!)

FAT Harrop Threats
I'm not sure that calling Geoff Harrop 'fatty' or whatever is the way to go at the moment. Insults never achieve anything in my book. Don't know the guy, only remember him being in charge of one match several years ago. Let's pass judgement in 6 months' time.

Er....no thanks. He had a big bust-up with a team-mate during a match when he was a Gull. Nicho also said that 'he has a lot to learn'. I don't think he'd be welcomed back with open arms somehow!

The New Board
Does anyone know who is actually on the Torquay United board as of this moment? I listened to the Clarke Osborne interview the other day and he stated that David Phillips had resigned, yet the TUFC official website says that he is still the Chairman. Or I am I just being thick?! On the other hand I ...

Should Nicholson be sacked
Anyone see the local ITV news last night? The reporter was outside Plainmoor for whatever reason and just happened to come across Kevin Nicholson driving away in his car. He asked Kevin if there was any news (presumably about his own position) and if it was 'business as usual' - Kevin confirmed that...

Couldn't make the match today but a much-needed win. I see that Shaun Harrad was not even on the bench today - is he injured? There was no explanation on Guy Henderson's HE match blog. Any news on Racine's injury, apparently quite serious? As always with TUFC there is a sting in the tail with any vi...

We need another keeper
Is Kevin Miller (I think that was his name?) still the unofficial TUFC goalkeeping coach? Last season he was coaching a couple of days a week, but I have not heard anything recently.

I can't understand why KN didn't play Rooney again, either at right back or in place of Gerring. He had a great game last week - the lad must be disappointed (but not half as disappointed as me!).

PLAINMOOR FOR SALE?
Just watched Devon 18's draw with Somerset. Talk in the stand from another pro club in the area the person stated they thought that G.I. will get permission to develope Plainmoor to have greyhound racing and speedway. It may mean moving the ground towards the swimming pool and may be doing away wit...

Just by way of following-up my own posting, I notice that Keiffer Moore was not in FGR's line-up for their 5-1 away thrashing of Bromley today. Should we read anything into this, or is he just injured?

Oh dear, such a frustrating performance. Only my first match since November, the 75-mile drive from Bude was totally wasted apart from meeting my mate Kev in the Popside. The match was so poor we had plenty of time to talk about prog music (the stunning Steven Wilson remix of Jethro Tull's classic 1...

Hugely disappointing performance but the following players did OK: LRT - Excellent performance, the best I've seen him play Sean McGinty - Apart from his error, a good defensive display Paul Rooney - looks a great prospect for the future Courtney Richards - A good captain's performance with some nea...

Agreed - we are stuck with GI for better or for worse.
