Torquay United play poor in stripes

From my experience of watching and following Torquay, they have always done badly when they have played in stripes. I first followed in 2000. They have never done well in a striped kit since. Perhaps it is time to ditch the kit.

Management

Torquay United myst have sonething in mind. 20 managers have already list their jobs in the top five divisions. Football is a results based business. Torquay are not producing on any front. So where do they go? Invest, sell up, keep or sack the manager? We will all have opinions. But, I'm sure we wo...

Dover Athletic v Torquay United - 3pm 5th Aug

Sitting here in Greece with sky that matches the colour of Torquay's shorts. Nearly 40 degrees. Much has been made of this game. Expectations will be high. Potential banana ๐ŸŒ skin. But let's stay positive and go for 0-3 win to Torquay.

New Kit

If the sleeve had been reversed, then it might look retro. Matching collar and cuff... it looks patchwork.

Agreed. Sometimes, they say never go back. How many players have Torquay had on loan that we begged to sign. Torquay did, then said player never regained previous quality.

Has this thread become a gentleman's guide to washing clothes? Remember, don't tmble-dry and only iron inside-out on a cool setting.

New Kit

I think I won't be buying until we get ones with a stitched club crest again - or a least a more durable form of printing. The last shirt I bought (2019/20 away) only lasted two washes before the 1899 sponsor and club crest both started to peel. Anyone experience this sort of thing with last season...

New Kit

Seemingly, the away kit is blue. I don't like the home kit as it is too early 2000s. Don't like the v-neck. People will buy in none-the-less.
