Re: Thank You Board

Agreed - what pleased me most about today's decision was that it always seemed the tough, sometimes ruthless calls would be made by every other club accept us. I certainly feel our 'family-friendly' nature has worked against us - no more so than with the Paul Buckle fiasco where we came across as a...

Re: Martin ling

I said what conjecture is and outlined how this thread is conjecture. not opinion. I don't know what your standard of 'evidence' is, but somebody saying that somebody else said something isn't good enough for me. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree, as I'm not really bothered enough to go into w...

Conjecture: the formation or expression of an opinion or theory without sufficient evidence for proof. No evidence for proof, as in this thread = conjecture. :red:

Re: Martin ling

...let's stick to what we do know: Martin Ling is our manager. He's a good manager, certainly no worse than most. That awkward moment when somebody talks about 'facts' and what we 'know' and then spouts their own opinion as thought it is thus. ;-) o:) This whole thread is conjecture, to be honest, ...

Re: Are the singers back in the middle?

That's a very kind offer, sir, :) where do you guys usually go to? Would be interesting to meet some of the faces behind the names on here, if I don't post back before the game (got a funeral, seems apt) and you see a big guy with a ponytail and brown hair leaning on a rail in the middle, it's most ...

Re: Torquay United v Barnet - 16/4/13

I think I must be the only person pleased that this one was postponed, was doing a video shoot on Saturday so wouldn't have been able to make it, got a funeral beforehand (seems oddly serendipitous, that), but then THE BIG ONE!!! I don't want to even think what is going to happen, I remember listeni...

Strange question, but I don't suppose anybody knows of any online links to a stream of 'offline' radio, do they? Can't get the sports shows online, and I no longer have a radio!! :B

(Radio Devon, that is!!!)

Re: What position do we need to strengthen

I've been thinking, and I genuinely believe we need to change our current style of play to a slightly more direct one... bare with me, I'm not sure I will explain myself that well at this time of night..... I think our style of play really isn't suited to the lower divisions and players of this abi...

Is it strange...

...that now, more than ever, I wish I could afford to go to games? Before you jump on me, this is not a 'can't afford', this is I literally have no money, so cannot go to games. I managed to get to see the City match at home, and whilst the second half was utter dross, it was still enjoyable; I spen...

Re: The sooner we get a coach in the better...

As I just mentioned in the matchday thread, if we're honest with ourselves then the problems didn't just suddenly start when Taylor took over, did they? We've been sliding for a LONG time before then, and people we saying the same about Ling as they were for Taylor.

God, I hope so. Though, let's be honest, it's not as if this had suddenly come about since Taylor took over, is it?
