Elections May 2019
So the Tories have lost the council to no overall control. Conservative - 15 seats (-9) Liberal Democrats - 13 seats (+5) Independents - 8 seats - (+5) UKIP - 0 seats (-1) Not sure what this means for COs plans but I think I'm right in saying the previous Lib Dem councillors were all against his pla...

Another player like Guy Branston would be perfect to partner Cameron at the back. Not sure who that is now but I'm sure GJ will deliver

TUFC 2019/20 Squad
m I very much hope both have a very successful season. Asa's leadership has been central this season. I just have a nagging feeling he might struggle with the step up in pace, much like Chris Hargreaves did after promotion. I really hope I am wrong. Reid will get fewer chances, which is my source o...

Realistic goals next season
I think Dickson already had a deal to the end of next season, hence not being offered a new one this year. Not sure about Duku, his CV stinks of a player with problems, when he plays he seems to do well but he has been let go by far too may clubs for my liking. I'd love to see all the Bristol lads b...

We had no choice but to build a new grandstand, it was that or have a three-sided ground as it the old one was going to be condemned.

We have to make the most of this momentum and the skills of Gary Johnson while we have them. Although a step up we will still be one of the bigger clubs next season and should be setting our sights accordingly. It's impossible to know at this stage who will be the challengers but we should be aiming...

Brighton reserves I think.Plainmoor78 wrote: ↑11 Apr 2019, 12:24 Stefano, I simply pointed out we didn't actually win the overall Southern League title. The Southern League Western Division wad on a par with the Eastern Division. Brighton beat us in the play off.
I'm not debunking it, we were champions of the Western Division.

Rauri must be one of the longest serving players now! It has been a bit of a slow burner, his workrate, enthusiasm and commitment have never been in question ( occasionally a bit too enthusiastic for referees) but under a decent management team he seams to be blossoming. I seem to remember he was r...

Although we did lose the Southern League final so this will be our first title win in senior professional football.

If Sendles-White has a knock it will make it easier to put Jean-Yves back in. Could we see a start for Kozela?

Concord Rangers V Torquay United 23/3/19
We've now reached the point in the season where our full-time professional squad should start standing out over the tired part-timers. We have the best manager in this league, the best players in this league and in theory the fittest players in this league. From this point in it should be smash smas...

From my understanding it's quite common across the Football League/Premier League that season ticket holders are given first dibs, then other forms of membership and a free-for-all after that. Seems quite fair that those who show most loyalty get first go at these things. We did have a membership sc...

Also, there is a big difference between 'fan ownership' and a fan or group of fans owning the club. The bookie and his mates were fans who bought the club, when it came to working with the TUST and potentially looking towards 'fan ownership' they had no interest.

I would argue that the Exeter model of investing their money in the clubs infrastructure is the correct one. They could have spent it all on players and coaches and they may have had a few years 'success' (although as a gazillion examples all around the world show, money does not always equal succes...

What is it with people expecting everyone else to bow down before the mighty Torquay United and give us three quarters of their ground? On the rare occasion we have big teams at Plainmoor in the cups there would be uproar if they were offered more than the usual away end!
