Jennison Myrie-Williams joins
What about Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink? Although that was in Scotland. Myrie-Williams looks a really astute signing and i think Jeff flagged him up as one of the unattached players that might be worth having a look at so hats off Jeff. I've seen a bit of him and although he's only really ever spent ...

Wouldn't expect JMW to start given he's been without a club.
I'd love to see GO go with a 3-5-2 formation, which makes the best use of personnel available but don't see it happening after just a couple of days with the team

Positive interview. Both sounded like proper football men.

So we are really buying into Paul Sturrock referring to himself as "lugmeister"? For a respected professional who is old enough to be my Dad, I would have thought "Paul_Sturrock" would be the first username to go for. Regardless, if this is legit then the fact that he felt the ne...

Obviously not the appointment we were hoping for. But I'll at least give the guy a chance before I start burning effigies of him in the street. On the face of it, given that Owers career seems to have centred around the Bath/Bristol area where Clarke Osborn apparently resides - and not far from the ...

Based on what I saw at Aldershot (limited data sample I know), I'd take Pittman over Gray any day. But then that's just based on one match. Totally agree with Fallon, the sooner we ship him out the better. Reid is an interesting one. Personally I find him frustrating and zero end product, but merse ...

Think Westley represents a bit of a mixed bag if it is him. He either tends to have successful reins, or disasters. He did bloody well with Stevenage, and I think his time with Peterborough can be considered a success. Spells with PNE and especially his more recent spell with Newport less so. From w...

Kevin Millard IS back in the Bay!
I remember going to the Lambada game back in the day, watching them absolutely rip us apart with some lovely football but ultimately still manage to lose to effectively our reserve side.
I'd love to see us cast our net so far wide to try and discover hidden gems.

A new model for a football team? is this the way to go?
The problem with Moneyball is that it requires a fairly extensive scouting and subsequent data analysis resource - either directly employed by the club or contracted out. The sort of "speculate to accumlate" acumen the club has been lacking for the past 7 or 8 years

So what do we reckon? is Dowling more of a CM or a wide midfielder? Could see Gray drop back into CM like he did against Woking, with Reid and/or Haworth starting on the wings.
Either way, it's not a great state of affairs!

FStrangely enough this was a name I thought of when I heard we needed a keeper short notice.
No idea if he's any good, but good luck to him. He'll need it, and with Clarkes and injury sounding quite a lengthy one he's no doubt got an opportunity to secure a longer deal

James Gray to start?
Was dismal against Aldershot.
Wouldn't be surprised to see him start in midfield as he did at Woking given the lack of numbers there, and the fact we aren't so depleted in numbers up front (whether we are depleted up front in terms of quality is a different conversation)

Although the wait for a new manager is frustrating, time will tell whether it's the right thing to do or not. Let's be clear - the new man will have one hell of a job to turn this shower around. So it's needs to be the right man - but with every passing day that's a day lost for the new man to impar...

Is there deffo a press conference at 2 then? I can't find anything about that anywhere confirming it. I think that was just someone's hope - there isn't anything on the OS stating as such. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Mickey Adams, with Darren Purse as number 2. That said, of the names mentio...

Interestingly (well, to me anyway) Mickey Adams has form for signing Jennison Myrie-Williams wherever he goes - one of the decent players I highlighted on the transfer rumours thread that is still unattached. I'd expect he'd be brought on board if Adams got the job (also Adams has signed Jordan Slew...
