Jon Gibbes - Club Secretary

hector wrote: 01 Jun 2024, 14:39 Can’t be a better option for this role than Jon Gibbes. Fanatical Torquay supporter, a man with great integrity and one whose professional career has all been about detail; it’s unlikely we will be suffering any deducted points for incorrectly registered players under Jon’s watch.
I am not familiar with Jon Gibbs, what was his professional career?

Good that people are speaking favourably about him - a positive sign. I look forward to meeting him.

Agree the catering and hospitality is poor. However I like sitting in the old dated Gulls Nest before each game.

Thanks for your reply. I certainly hope we play them, would be good to thank the Plymouth fans for their support last season.

Beautiful Plainmoor

Foremost, what a lovely photograph of the ground, why does anyone want to leave?

Secondly, have I missed the announcement that we are playing Plymouth. I am only aware of Buckland & Tiverton away with Exeter at home.

The deal was done at Christmas! But could not be finalised until the end of the season, or it would of cost them a few.

I knew his Dad (Paul) very well when he played and he sat behind us when he watched Billy play at Plainmoor with his wife.

I would have him back. I believe he is 31 now.

New manager announced - Paul Wotton

But if you believe what you were told, neither was Mel Hayman or that idiot Edwards.

Neil Warnock IMHO is an excellent addition, I would pay his bus fare from Cornwall - lovely genuine guy.

Why has there got to be a grudge, I do not understand your thinking. Would be nice to meet the new owners with meaningful two way dialogue.

Now we have a new owner, manager and advisor it would be an ideal time to have a fans forum to have a Q&A.
